There is a degree of flexibility within this role based on candidates qualities but the person within the role would be expected to:
Monitor trainee's lesson discussions on our portal and QA the impact of the core and in school program
Provide additional mentor support where directed (visits to schools for focused support and paired observations or plan and deliver training to small groups of mentors who require more support)
Support in delivering and planning mentor training
Provide mentors with further reading and support and advice via email
Support mentors in creating support packages for trainees
Deliver some aspects of the core program.
Support the interview process of new applicants.
We are looking for applicants with:
QTS (Primary) and some subject leadership experience
Successful track record of mentoring and coaching
Keen interest in research and development of pedagogy
Highly effective leadership and communication skills
Some understanding and experience of Initial Teacher Training or other training delivery
A self starter who can manage time effectively
