Are you committed to increasing sustainable travel use and wish to use your engagement and persuasive skills to work with others to achieve this? Do you want to work in a fast paced, varied environment, harnessing a great team spirit?

TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects, and it’s our experts who provide the information and analysis to shape transport strategy. This is a busy and exciting time for us: under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.

As a Sustainable Journeys Delivery Officer you will encourage, engage and influence a wide range of audiences across Greater Manchester including workplaces, organisations and communities to manage and deliver a variety of positive long-term travel behaviour change interventions.

In this role you will research best practice and employ creative solutions, identifying the correct package of interventions for each audience, ensuring they are delivered to agreed timescales and budget.

You will also identify opportunities for promoting travel behaviour change to maximise the impact of other transport investments and ensure that our delivery programmes are aligned with other strategic deliverables such as air quality and congestion.

You will have significant experience of bringing about long lasting change and a track record in effective and successful partnership working. You will be enthusiastic and driven and be used to working to tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

At TfGM we encourage candidates to discuss flexible working options at any stage of the recruitment process.

The salary range for this role is £32,550 to £36,636.  Salary on appointment will be dependent upon your skills and experience.

At TfGM we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are actively building a diverse workforce and want to create an inclusive environment as we recognise the importance of our workforce reflecting the communities we serve.

If you would relish the prospect of being part of a positive and progressive team, working hard to increase levels of sustainable travel behaviour, and believe you have the skills and expertise to make a real difference to the delivery of our programme then we look forward to hearing from you!

Interviews will be held on 6th or 10th September 2018.
