We are seeking a Keeper to join our Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass department, who will be responsible for the management of the department and leading departmental strategies that are aligned with the V&A’s overarching mission and strategic plan.

The post holder will define and support key areas of strength and expertise that contribute to promoting research on, knowledge about and enjoyment of the Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics & Glass collections to the widest possible audience.  They will have a strong national and international reputation for scholarship and publication and will be experienced in creating and supporting an exciting and innovative programme of gallery installations, temporary displays and headline exhibitions. The Keeper will be expected to represent the Museum nationally and internationally.

The successful candidate will have the knowledge of the Department’s collections and an ongoing record of substantial scholarly achievement in a major area of the collection, including scholarly publications and experience of lecturing to academic and general audiences. They will have a sound business and financial management skills and be able to lead, motivate and contribute actively to an effective team.
