Salary: £42,000-50,000

We’re on the hunt for a Head of Technical SEO to lead and develop our offering for our SEO clients. Working with some of the world’s biggest brands, our Technical SEO team deploy cutting-edge techniques to make sure our clients’ websites are fully optimised. Leading this team, you will help to maintain Search Laboratory’s position at the forefront of the SEO industry.

As we aim to be ahead of the curve, you’ll need to keep on top of the latest methods, techniques, and technologies to ensure we’re always moving forward. The team will look to you to be a thought-leader who openly shares this knowledge. This role requires someone who can think strategically about where the department needs to be, whilst being strong enough operationally to ensure we are delivering excellent results. You’ll also love jumping in on big business pitches and proposals

What you would be doing:

• Extensive knowledge of technical SEO with proven experience in the industry
• Strong strategic, leadership and communication skills
• A client-focused, results-driven approach
• Line management for an existing team
• Work with the members of the technical SEO team to ensure that our technical SEO plans are strategic and deliver the best possible results for our clients
• Take technical ownership of at least one ongoing engagement and be prepared to take on other client work as and when its needed to support the team in hitting deadlines and maintaining quality of output
• Ensure that all our technical SEO plans are aligned with the overall SEO strategy
• Take full accountability for the output of the technical SEO team and apply problem solving skills and techniques to find solutions to any problematic areas
• Ensure that the technical SEO team are working efficiently at all times
• Support the work being carried out at department level to hit and exceed profitability targets

• Extensive knowledge of technical SEO
