Reporting to the Registration Manager, the post holder will manage loans in to the museum for temporary exhibitions and contemporary art commissions for gallery activities. They will also support the Public Programming team with audience engagement projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience in organising incoming loans, planning installation and decant schedules and managing contracts and logistics for major exhibitions. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of project management; clear understanding of legal, ethical, policy and regulatory standards for museum collections; and technical collections management skills such as object handling and packing, couriering, documentation, import and export procedures and indemnity. This role involves developing and applying established procedures for managing risk, ensuring accountability, enabling public access to collections and supporting the delivery of the Museum’s key public programmes.
