JOB PURPOSE
For you, this is an exciting opportunity that will help you gain valuable experience and develop skills in the evaluation and assessment of strategic growth opportunities for the James Fisher Group, whilst being supported and mentored by our Business Development team. For us, this role will predominantly support the evaluation, assessment, and decision-making process of growth opportunities in sectors of interest


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Market research and analysis

  • Conduct detailed secondary market research utilizing a variety of external published information and database to gain insight into specific markets and companies
  • Conduct primary market research thought interviews with trade associations, supply chain stakeholders, leading companies to validate and enhance quantitative and qualitative findings and information obtained via secondary research
  • Analyze, validate and synthetize findings from both primary and secondary research, creating reports, models, and presentations
  • Analysis may include, for example, macro and sector-specific trends, market size and market growth, market segmentation, value chain analysis, assessment of competitive landscape and specific companies

Pursue an attitude of learning and development 

  • Develop internal and external relationships in performance of role
  • Cultivate interpersonal skills
  • Develop analytical, modelling, and presentation skills
  • Foster time management skills

Teamwork work

  • Proactively work with other team members across the organization
  • Prioritize activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

This intern opportunity would suit someone with a Degree in Science, Maths, Economics or similar and someone who sees themselves as an Analyst in the future. It is an opportunity for a recent graduate that has had their employment affected by COVID19.
