The post holder will support the Senior Research Manager and Research team in the identification, collection, organisation, and analysis of research information on prospective donors, supporters, and issues of strategic importance to Development and the wider V&A. Specialist research will be dedicated toward supporting FuturePlan capital fundraising and multisite programming at a pivotal moment for the museum, as it prepares to commence ambitious new programmes in Bethnal Green (2023) and Stratford (2024).

This role supports Development research across five key areas:

•    Research – identification, qualification and profiling of new prospects and existing supporters in expectation of cultivation touchpoints, external meetings, and major Development events and exhibition openings.
•    Prospecting – direction of prospect identification, tracking and cultivation for multiple simultaneous projects across the V&A multisite expansion, working in concert with Development fundraising teams.
•    Due Diligence – executing the V&A’s due diligence gift acceptance policy through the production of necessary risk assessments, enabling the best possible safeguard against risks of reputational, financial, legal, and physical harm.
•    Data Analysis – initiating proactive analysis of the CRM database to support specific prospecting tasks, and to inform strategic planning.
•    Knowledge Management – monitoring prospects and supporters through public channels; developing research skills and best-practice research management among Development fundraising teams; and ensuring research is acquired, processed, and stored in a GDPR compliant fashion.

Besides these core responsibilities the role will support the wider Development department through the initiation, design, and execution of individual fundraising projects - from mass data analysis to in-depth strategic overviews – as directed by the Senior Research Manager and in concert with the Research Officer.

Closing date for applications is Sunday 26 March 2023 at 23:59.

Interviews will be held 4th April (for the first interview) and 7th April (for the second).
