Contract:            Permanent and Full time 32.5 hours per week

We seek to appoint for as soon as possible, an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our school staff team. 

We are looking for a teaching assistant with 1:1 support to work under the instruction and guidance of teachers or senior staff to undertake work, care and support programmes that will enable our pupils to access learning and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. This role is primarily to provide 1:1 and small group support, primarily within the class. This role may revert back to a teaching assistant role in the future.

Bramhope is an exceptional school with a reputation for providing an all-round education. This is an exciting time to join our school. We currently have 368 children on roll and operate single age classes in reception and KS1. KS2 operates with mixed ages, although this will change as our school expands.  By September 2024 we will be a two- form entry school of approximately 430 pupils with two, single age classes in each year group.  Our school community has a strong ethos and shared vision which lays the foundations for excellence in teaching and learning.  We have wonderful children who are eager to learn. Our parents are very involved in school life and work with us to provide children with the best possible start to life.

Bramhope has a history of working in partnership with local schools and is part of a 'Family of Schools' network which meets and works together throughout the year.  In 2019, Prince Henry’s Grammar School and Bramhope Primary School formed a multi-academy trust, The Collaborative Learning Trust .  Since then, we have been joined by St Mary’s CoE Primary Academy, Hunslet, Micklefield CofE Primary Academy and All Saints CofE Primary School, Bradford. Trinity All Saints CoE Primary, Bingley, joined the Trust on the 1st July 2023 and Ashfield Primary, Otley joined on the 1st September 2023.

The successful candidate will have:

•    the ability to inspire, motivate and engage pupils encouraging them to learn
•    the ability to work as part of a team 
•    the ability to relate to children and other adults
•    excellent literacy and numeracy skills
•    the ability to identify potential barriers to learning and jointly engage in strategies to overcome these barriers
