Teaching assistant (maternity cover)

Salary: Scale E - £16,673 - £18,048 (£19,554 - £21,166 full time equivalent)

37 hours per week, term time plus one week

Temporary role (maternity cover)    

Starting as soon as possible

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a teaching assistant to join our committed and hardworking team at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy.

You will be an inspirational practitioner who is passionate about raising achievement through motivating and inspiring students, who will also contribute to the vision and values of the school. You’ll have a minimum of GCSE grade C for English and maths or equivalent, and ideally you’ll have experience of working in Key Stages 1 and 2. Experience of working with students with special educational needs would be of benefit, although training will be provided as necessary.

The role involves working in one-to-one and small group situations as well as supporting the teacher in whole class lessons. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team, following the direction of the teachers as well as working under your own initiative when necessary.
