Retail Sales Advisor

Part Time – 24 hours per week over 3 days including a Saturday

Salary Circa £12,000 per annum plus pension and benefits

We have a great opportunity for a Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Cambridge to provide exceptional service to our customers in store. You will play a vital part in keeping the branch running smoothly and efficiently - experience with our products isn't strictly necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.

Conveniently located next to the train station you will find our Brewers Decorator Centre on Clifton Road Industrial Estate. In our large and well stocked showroom customers can choose from an extensive range of trade and designer paints, as a great selection of wallpaper options and all the decorating supplies and materials our customers need to complete their home decor projects. Joining a motivated and friendly team you’ll be in the best place if you are interested in expanding your knowledge of our industry.

We have two positions currently available with the following work patterns; either 8am – 5pm Monday, Tuesday & Saturday or 8am – 5pm Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

As a Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Providing exceptional Brewers service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality service
• Gaining product knowledge to provide product recommendations, developing sales of decorating materials and the Company product range
• Mixing paint for customers, processing specialist orders, and requesting special stock within the Branch network
• Building relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
• Promoting seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales

Who we are looking for to join our team:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
• Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
• Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
• Flexible and willing to cover additional hours due to holiday or absence if available
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
• Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
