Hollybank Trust, founded in 1954 has achieved a reputation of attaining very high care standards, working with children, young people and adults who have profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking, and progressive organisation with a person-centred approach encompassing everything we do. We operate from four sites including Holmfirth, South Kirkby, Barnsley, and Mirfield which is where our school is situated.

The IT department is currently in the middle of an ambitious long-term improvement strategy, working closely with all areas of the Trust to implement new solutions and digitise many aspects of the work we do. We have a planned commitment to improve and invest in the infrastructure, security, systems and ultimately contribute to the excellent quality of care that our keyworkers provide to our children, young people, and adults.

Job title: IT Support Analyst

Location: Mirfield, WF14 0DQ

Salary: £22,800/pa

Working hours: Full time – 37 hours per week

Key aspects of the role:

  • Prioritising, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems. Whether that be via an incoming call, or on a support ticket system.
  • Initial troubleshooting a variety of networking issues from physical to Wi-Fi. Escalating when required.
  • Effectively manage user accounts through Active Directory & Office 365.
  • Administration of VOIP phone systems.
  • Deploying new hardware including system imaging, Group Policy modifications and handover tutorials.
  • Maintaining a high level of cyber security.

What do you need?

  • At least 1 year’s previous experience working in a busy IT Helpdesk environment is desirable.
  •  A recognised IT qualification (ITIL / CompTIA would be a significant advantage).
  • Full clean driving licence, as travel to other sites will be required.
  • Experience of basic networking, (Ruckus & Aruba experience desired, but not essential).
  • Previous experience of Active Directory, troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands.
  • A good team player, but able to work independently.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
