JOB PURPOSE: Provide the external and internal sales teams with technical support, liaise with engineering, production, procurement etc. to be able to establish a solution with costing and lead times. Expertise will be required throughout Opportunity Capture, Bid Preparation, Post Bid Submission negotiation and eventual handover to Business Execution according to internal policies, processes and procedures.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Business Development team during the early engagement with the Customer to shape their requirement. Assist during Customer meetings as required.
- Help develop opportunities through strong customer relationships and Communication with multiple stakeholders, ensuring opportunities are developed without delay.
- Manage bids through receipt of enquiry to submission and contract award, ensuring compliance with Strainstall Processes.
- Work with the production / engineering and procurement departments to establish a solution that is fully costed with a lead time.
- Liaise with Legal and Commercial departments to develop solution in line with Group Principles.
- Generate detailed quotations, commercial and technical proposals against defined deadlines for internal approval, ensuring Bid Strategy and Winning Themes are delivered as part of Bid input
- Oversee the review of Customer documentation and, producing clarifications and qualifications as necessary.
- Participate in face to face clarification, presentation and negotiation meetings with Customers as required.
- Liaise with the customer to understand their requirements where necessary.
- Support Customer Services function as appropriate with regards to resolving any commercial or technical issues
- Ensure sales database is updated as appropriate
- Undertake any reasonable duties specified by the Management Team when required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Technical/ engineering understanding
- IT Literate – Word, Excel, Sage, CRM, Power Point, Project
- Excellent written communication

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of load or asset monitoring equipment or a background in an engineering / technical company, Previous project management and systems experience would be a distinct advantage.
