An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, ambitious, and motivated senior Clinical Psychologist who has substantial clinical expertise, supervision, management, service evaluation, development and improvement experience to join as a clinical manager in our expanding and developing integrated Clinical in-house CAMHS Service within the London Borough of Barnet’s Family Service. The Clinical Manager will work across statutory and multi-agency professional contexts. The successful applicant will provide clinical supervision and operational management to a team of experienced clinical practitioners from clinical psychology, counselling psychology, systemic and counselling backgrounds who provide community based mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people receiving a range of statutory social work interventions from Barnet’s Children Social Care teams (e.g., Duty Assessment teams, Intervention and Planning teams, Children in Care teams, Youth Offending Service and REACH (assertive outreach team for hard to reach children) as well as consultation and advice to a range of professionals. Additionally, the successful applicant will work in partnership with the clinical manager working in Early Help supporting the Clinical Lead in developing the service in becoming a clinical centre of excellence and be involved in a range of innovative service improvement projects. There is potential for the successful applicant to have a small clinical caseload.
We are looking for a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist who has a proven track record within child and adolescent mental health; able to provide high quality clinical supervision, operational management experience, service evaluation, development and improvement. Ideally you are someone who could be creative, flexible, dynamic and have confidence in your ability to problem solve and make decisions. Additionally, you are capable to be able to deputise for the Clinical Lead and work closely with her.
We value and encourage your continuing professional development and will support you with experienced supervision from the Clinical lead and peer support from the Early Help Clinical Manager. We offer excellent specialist CPD and training opportunities. The department has established strong working relationships with colleagues in Children’s Social Care. In addition, you will have ample opportunities to work with partner agencies such as Barnet’s Tier 3 NHS Specialist CAMHS, other community and voluntary services. We also have links with the Hertfordshire Clinical Psychology Training Scheme.
