Woburn Abbey has been home to the Russell family since the early 17th Century and today home to the 15th Duke and Duchess of Bedford. A historic house, The Abbey has 22 rooms filled with a superb collection of paintings, furniture, porcelain and sculptures, whilst the stunning gardens consist of 42 acres of pleasure grounds, with features based on Humphry Repton designs.
A great opportunity has arisen for the right person to assist the Head Gardeners in the beautiful Bedford Estates Gardens and Safari Park which are set amongst stunning surroundings in the heart of England whilst developing their horticultural skills.
The Estate wish to continue the restoration and development of the gardens and are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will help enhance this landscape.
We are seeking to develop an enthusiastic apprentice to assist the team in creating and maintaining an environment to be proud of and assisting with the restoration and development of the gardens.
The successful apprentice will be a hardworking individual who has respect for the community and the environment and has the drive to self develop and learn.
The apprentice will need good communication skills, be able to fully engage with the Apprenticeship training package. They will attend training sessions as directed.
The position is full time, 39 hours per week Monday to Friday for the duration of the programme (occasional weekend work may be required).
