Management Accountant

Our highly prestigious client is currently looking for a Management Accountant who will assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including full review of specific P&L and balance sheet areas with variance analysis and relevant balance sheet reconciliations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Quarterly VAT returns (including intrastat and EC sales)
  • Maintain whole sales ledger process including raising all invoices, intercompany reconciliations, US withholding tax log, month end reports and reconciliations
  • P11D Analysis
  • Coding of staff expense claim forms
  • Employment costs and benefits (including posting monthly payroll journal and flex benefits balance sheet reconciliation)
  • Marketing activity analysis (including profitability of activities and sponsorship packages)
  • Utilities review and accruals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income, recharges)
  • Coding of non-POP invoices
  • National statistics reports
  • Assistance with audit preparation and queries
  • Provide assistance to other members of the finance team

The successful candidate will be a cheerful, hardworking self-starter who can work well under pressure and with heavy workloads. Candidates will have the ability to liaise with all members of the business (finance, non-finance and senior), and work well as part of a small team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Knowledge and experience of VAT
  • Previous experience of balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Fully competent in using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of Microsoft AX would be advantageous

Candidates must have a full driving licence and access to own transport.
