Following an extensive refurbishment of our original Grade 2 Victorian property, we are delighted to announce the opening of The Oakfield.
Our aim is to have one of the most unique dining and event experiences, by having an amazing gastro pub completely surrounded by the busiest Zoo in the UK!
For this to succeed, we need enthusiastic, detail minded and charismatic individuals who are willing to learn and willing to work.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation, to deliver excellent guest service and experience as part of our Front of House team.
The Role:
- Ensure that all Floor and Bar duties are performed effectively at all times, such as serving of hot and cold beverages, guest welcome, unit cleaning, cash handling and stock control.
- Interact and engage with all guests, to meet exceptional guest service standards and exceed guest expectations.
- Adhere to all policies, operating procedures and safe working practices including food and beverage safety systems, to ensure that exceptional guest service standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded.
- Ensure that you, as part of The Oakfield team, are clean and well presented at all times.
- Maintain a flexible approach and adaptable attitude with a willingness to undertake other duties appropriate with the grade of the post.
The successful Food & Beverage Team Member will have:
- Excellent guest service skills ideally gained within a leading British Gastro Pub
- Excellent communication skills and team work
- Self-motivation
- Proactive
- High personal and work standards
- Good organisational capability
- Basic food hygiene certificate
- Numerate and literate to undertake duties
- Basic understanding of word and excel
- Cleaning and hygiene experience
- Cash handling experience
Flexibility in this role is key, therefore candidates must have the following availability:
- able to work up to 5 days out of 7 including weekends and Bank Holidays, or
- able to work weekends (including Bank Holidays) and School Holidays
Contracts will be offered on a minimum 8 hour per week basis depending on availability, but hours of work may be significantly more during busy periods.
We are pleased to confirm that we will be offering higher than the National Living Wage and, regardless of age, the rate of pay for this role will be £7.90 per hour.
