As a homelessness charity and housing association our clients are at the heart of what we do. We provide a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and work to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

HR Admin Team Leader
£32,797 - £35,075 p.a.

37.5 hours per week

Led by a multi-award winning Director, the HR team at St Mungo’s is helping to steer the organisation through significant and exciting period of change. The HR Admin function is currently reviewing existing systems and processes to ensure these are fit for purpose and to also develop these further. This will have a massive impact on the organisation and its service users. This role will play a key part in leading and delivering this objective. This is an exciting but challenging time to join us and play a key part in shaping how we deliver outstanding HR services. This role has been developed to lead and manage the HR admin function. It is a great development opportunity for either an experienced HR Administrator/Assistant or someone from any other operations background looking to make the next step in their career. We offer a great team working environment, a fantastic work-life balance and consider experience to be far less important than great customer service skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Lead and manage the HR admin team to ensure they perform to high standards meeting the team KPI’s
  • Ensure high quality and proactive services are provided by the HR admin function and customer service standards are met
  • Personally undertake HR admin tasks to share the workload appropriately with the team and ensure deadlines are met
  • Undertake relevant strategic HR projects working closely with other Senior HR Personnel (HR Partners, Senior HR Partner and HR Directors)

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication skills with a genuine commitment to great customer service
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude and flexibility in taking on a variety of tasks, often at short notice to meet the requirements of key stakeholders.
  • Experience of working on HR or related office systems & processes with ability to develop and implement new systems to improve efficiency.
  • Experience of leading a team or a genuine interest and ability to develop management skills and lead a team.
  • Using a range of computer software applications, including a computerised personnel information system, and maximising the use of IT to improve working practices and systems.
