Senior Psychotherapist x2 - Life Works

£41,711 – £46,373 per annum (pro-rata)

Part-time: 15 hours per week

We are looking for 2 skilled Senior Psychotherapists to join our Life Works team on a permanent, part-time basis (15 hours per week).

As an established specialist service working within homelessness, Life Works’ core client need is historical and current, complex trauma, with people often having long term experiences of homelessness, substance use and significant health and social needs, whom are unlikely to receive psychological therapies from mainstream services.

Our practice is psychodynamic, trauma-informed and recovery-orientated. We provide medium-to-longer term individual psychotherapy, trauma-informed psychoeducational group therapy and a women’s specific pathway. We deliver through outreach to St. Mungo’s projects.

Our support of staff teams and the organisation has predominantly been through the collaborative development of Psychologically Informed Environments.

You will provide psychotherapy to people using St. Mungo’s services, incl. individual and/or group work, as well as psychologically-informed support to staff running those services through Reflective Practice team facilitation and training.

You will be UKCP registered or have BACP accreditation following the completion of a psychotherapy training and proven experience of working psycho-dynamically with people living with mental health problems and current substance dependencies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical practitioner to further develop their consultancy and therapeutic skills within a vibrant and innovative service.

We offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, voucher schemes and lots of initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.

Closing date: 10am, Thursday 2 November

Interview date: w/c 13 November

Please be advised that all appointments will be made on St Mungo’s current standard Terms and Conditions (T&Cs); this also applies to any internal candidates.

At St Mungo’s, equality, diversity and inclusion are central to the organisation's values and how we work. We are in the top 50 of Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index 2017, we are also proud to have been awarded BITC 2017 Race Equality Award and we are a Disability Confident Employer. To ensure that our workforce reflects the diversity of our clients as well as the communities that we live and work within, we encourage and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) applicants, in order to promote diversity in more senior roles within St Mungo’s.
