Programmes Officer

Would you like to work alongside some of the world’s most successful athletes and coaches in a high performance environment? Can you deliver administrative and organisational support to the Great Britain Cycling Team? Could you assist in the delivery of the Team’s wider strategy and day-to-day management?

British Cycling is looking for a Programmes Officer, and the role is all about:

  • Assisting in the delivery and monitoring of the GB Cycling Team strategy.
  • Facilitating the day to day working of the programme and deliver projects that impact upon athlete performance throughout the programme.
  • Lead and assist in data collection and processing across a range of fields and from a number of different sources (competition results, athlete demographics etc.).
  • Oversee the development and subsequent management of all policies and processes across GBCT.
  • Research, co-ordinate and compile reports, such as rider pathway progress and team selection.

What you need is:

  • Degree Level qualification or equivalent compensatory work experience.
  • Successfully designed, managed and delivered projects in a complex, multi-disciplined environment.
  • Strong data management and IT skills.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet timescales.
  • Self-driven with a high level of discipline and work ethic.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to structure and produce reports for stakeholders.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, with an understanding of what behaviours contribute to effective teamwork.
  • Experience of working within the UK sport system (pathways, funding, agencies etc.) is desirable.
