Hours: Up to 37.5
Flexible Working: We welcome applications from those seeking part time / flexible hours
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (subject to experience)
Apprenticeships: Development opportunities are available through Apprenticeship standards
Reporting To: Head of School: A’ Levels

IN SHORT

As an A Level Lecturer, you will be required:

 

  • To plan and prepare a scheme of work and lessons in your own subject specialism
  • To deliver dynamic and engaging lessons including the setting and marking of work
  • To assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students
  • To liaise with the awarding body, ensuring that all administration is completed by published deadlines
  • To take part in standardisation / moderation activities as required by the awarding body to ensure consistency of assessment
  • To provide guidance and advice to students on matters of progression
  • To act as a supervisor and assessor for the Extended Project Qualification
  • To offer out-of-class enrichment in your own subject specialism
  • To provide a UCAS reference for students and to give support for students’ own personal statement
  • To communicate with and consult parents as appropriate, including attending parent consultation events as appropriate
  • To act as a member of the ‘Student Interview Team’ for A level enrolment
  • To participate in arrangements for performance review and staff development activities, management and administrative activities.
  • To maintain discipline and safeguard the health and safety of students
  • To attend meetings, provide cover and participate in arrangements for examinations.
