Under the direction of the SLT, to work on developing and delivering the aims of the Academy Development Plan, particularly relating to subject specific curriculum, quality of education within the subject and subject related CPD and development
To be responsible for driving the raising standards agenda by working with SLT, other curriculum leaders, Pastoral Leaders, Pastoral Team,postholders,teachers and other stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of progress, academic achievement, curriculum provision and CPD within their subject area
The post holder will drive our agenda to secure the highest levels of progress, academic achievement and standards of T/L.
General Leadership Responsibilities
- To work with SLT Link on shaping the vision and direction for the faculty, setting out very high expectations and with a clear focus on student outcomes/quality of provision
- To lead on the development of new ways of thinking/delivering the curriculum and teaching and learning to develop staff and leaner competence
- To inspire, motivate and influence students and staff, taking a leading role in maintaining the highest possible standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
- To play a significant role in formulating the Department Development Plan (DDP) and the Self Evaluation Form (SEF - DEPT)
- To be a key participant in the recruitment process for new subject staff and ensure an effective induction process in line with academy procedures
- To participate in and lead CPD at department level
