Are you passionate about delivering a variety of exciting IS Infrastructure projects to time, budget and high quality standards? Are you committed to being a critical partner in achieving challenging objectives? We are seeking an experienced IS Project Manager to join our multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the achievement of our challenging strategic priorities.

TfGM oversees transport in Greater Manchester, delivering and improving transport services, facilities and information to make travel easier for everyone. We deliver high-profile, large-scale transport projects, and it’s our experts who provide the information and analysis to shape transport strategy. This is a busy and exciting time for us under the devolution agreement and with Greater Manchester at the heart of the Northern Powerhouse, transport will play a vital role in supporting growth and prosperity in the UK’s largest regional economy outside London.

This role will provide an opportunity for you to develop and apply knowledge, skills and experience to assist with the delivery of a wide range of exciting projects in compliance with our Project Management Procedures. Delivering IS Solutions into Transport Hubs across the Greater Manchester region, some travel will be required. Good communication and negotiating skills are a must as you will be leading a team and liaising with 3rd party contractors.

You will have leadership, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, both text and numerical, whilst working to tight deadlines and meeting funding and operational targets. You will have a strong IS infrastructure background, knowledge of agile and waterfall methodology, strong presentation skills, financial awareness including managing budgets and the ability to compile clear and concise reports. You will also have experience of presenting information to a range of political, professional and lay-person audiences and the ability to influence a variety of different stakeholders.

It is important that you have experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders and are able to make a positive contribution to team working, through being a strong team player with equal ability to work effectively on your own initiative and without close supervision.
