The V&A require a CPM to manage its cash and credit card processing across three London sites in South Kensington (SW7) Bethnal Green (E2) and Stratford (E20).

Purpose of job

•    To manage the efficient and effective collection, banking and recording of cash from retail shops and Visitor Experience (VE) departments

•    To minimise financial loss through resolving cash discrepancies and correcting errors (cash, cheques, credit cards)

•    To ensure efficient working practice and good relations with shop management, admissions management, and finance department, as well as museum staff as a whole

•    To maintain adequate level of staff expertise in supported departments through training and supervision where necessary.

•    To ensure (via Security) that access to the Cash Office and its equipment is strictly controlled and available only to those people with authorized access. In addition, the CPM will ensure that Cash Office equipment access control is updated regularly to prohibit access to leavers and allow access to new and duly authorized members of staff.
