Salary Scale L20 (£67,364) - L23 (£72,497)

Full time, permanent

Start Date: September 2021

At Jane Austen College we believe in creating an exceptional environment for teachers, as it is our teachers who transform students’ lives. We deliver an aspirational, academic curriculum and place a high value on teacher expertise and subject knowledge. We believe that all students have the right to access a rich, academic curriculum, regardless of background or disadvantage.

We are looking for an excellent leader who shares that belief to join our Senior Leadership Team as we continue to grow as a school.

Jane Austen College is an 11-19 secondary school.  Along with our oversubscribed main 11-16 school, we have a large and growing Sixth Form provision. We are an English & humanities specialist school and have a strong partnership with Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form – the country’s first maths and science specialist sixth form.

The successful candidate will be passionate about our vision of creating a truly excellent school that is characterised by intellectual rigour in every classroom; a strong subject driven curriculum; moral development of all students; and enrichment that broadens the school experience. They will be familiar with how to run a highly successful school, and capable both of setting strategy and implementing effectively.

This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to shape a growing school that aspires to transform educational standards for its own students and beyond.

The role will be based at Jane Austen College but the successful candidate will also have a role to play at other trust schools ensuring that our high standards of curriculum and teaching are shared across the Inspiration Trust family.

As part of the Inspiration Trust, the top schools group for secondary progress, we offer high-quality, personalised professional development in addition to excellent career development opportunities.

You will have the opportunities to help your career flourish, in a supportive and stimulating environment.  We are committed to offering excellent professional opportunities and learning opportunities for our staff, through careful support and personalised CPD. We offer a structured and specific induction programme that has been praised by staff for its support and expertise.
