Part-Time : 22 hours 40 minutes per week, 7.40am-9.00am and 3.00pm-6.00pm Monday to Friday plus 1 hour planning and administration time

Nightingale Infant and Nursery School wishes to appoint a reliable, efficient and enthusiastic person to the position of Before/After School Club Lead for a new Wraparound Care venture in school. 

This role will involve working with pupils aged 3-7 from Nightingale Infant and Nursery School. The leader will be responsible for the setting up and operating of the Clubs, preparing and hosting activities including reading and games whilst ensuring the children have a nourishing breakfast/snack, freshly prepared by the club staff. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Lead a small team of play workers to provide before school activities and supervision for the children. 
  • Be responsible for the setting up and operating of the Clubs. 
  • Prepare and host safe, creative play opportunities. 
  • Ensure the children have a nourishing, balanced breakfast/snack, freshly prepared by the club staff. 
  • Be comfortable in undertaking routine administrative and financial work. 
  • Hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent, plus more than one year’s experience. 
  • Hold, or be willing to achieve, a Food and Hygiene Level 2 Certificate. 
  • Hold, or be willing to achieve, a Paediatric First Aid Certificate 
  • Plan a balanced range of activities for the children weekly.
