Fixed term position for 6 months, part time (2 days per week)

We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity in our Theatre and Performance department for an Audio-Visual and Digital Resources Assistant to join the curatorial team to care for the AV material within the collections. The Audio Visual and Digital Resources Assistant manages the storage of drives and data carriers, as well as edits and transfers National Video Archive of Performance recordings for access purposes. 

You will need to have experience of working with a range of audio-visual equipment and using playback systems, ideally in a museum, exhibition of theatre setting.  This role requires close liaison with the entire Theatre and Performance team, IT and Digital teams, Documentation and Collections Management to assure the long-term preservation of AV material. The successful candidate will be able to prove that they have excellent networking skills, can work as part of team and have strong communication and organisational skills.
