Milton Keynes College has an exciting and varied opportunity for a Generalist Tutor to join the Education Department based at HMP Bullingdon.
As a Generalist Tutor, you will have the opportunity to cover a range of subjects, including, but not limited to: Functional Skills Maths and English, ICT, Business, Peer Mentoring and some vocational subjects such as Horticulture and Painting and Decorating. We are seeking a confident and self-motivated Tutor/Lecturer for this role, if you do not possess qualifications or experience for all the subjects, we would still like to receive your application!
This role will suit an individual with a can-do approach to education and who enjoys the variety of teaching a range of subjects. You will be supporting diverse groups of learners to achieve success through achieving qualifications and gaining skills and experience they can apply to sustainable employment either upon release or whilst in custody.

ABOUT HMP BULLINGDON
Bullingdon Community Prison is situated near the village of Arncott in Bicester, Oxon. HMP Bullingdon is a complex prison that has several functions. It is categorized as a local category B prison which a category C resettlement function. HMP Bullingdon has the capacity to hold 1114 offenders all serving a range of sentences from remand to life, with the average length of stay between 3 and 6 months.
The College works closely with our prison colleagues to deliver short to medium courses that help prepare learners for employment upon release. Courses include: English and Maths Functional Skills (Entry 2 to Level 2), ESOL, ICT, Barista, Hospitality, Business, Self-Employment, Personal Development, Art, Painting & Decorating, Horticulture, General Maintenance Skills, Mentoring and Barbering.
