Inclusion Support Assistant

Salary: Grade E   £15,048 - 16,288 (£20,092 - £21,748 FTE)

Permanent, Part Time - 32.5 hours per week

Term Time + 1 Week

Starting September 2021

Cobholm Primary Academy is a small school with a big heart - and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring member of staff to support our Inclusion Lead.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all students to fulfil their potential, and support them in overcoming any barriers to learning.
  • Provide support and guidance for our most vulnerable pupils so that our school is able to meet their needs and pupils make good progress. This may include:
  • Pastoral support
  • In class support
  • Interventions to support progress for all pupils
  • Supporting pupils’ social and emotional needs
  • SEND support
  • Supporting pupils to improve their attendance
  • Behaviour support
  • Representing the school and trust positively at all times.
  • Regular liaison with the senior team, Inclusion lead, PSA, teachers and other support staff including, but not limited to, teachers at the school, education specialists and parents/carers. Liaison with external agencies and organisations will also be required.

As part of the Inspiration Trust, the academy benefits from a wide range of support. We offer a knowledge-rich curriculum across our schools which is fully resourced, with a nationally-recognised team of subject specialist leaders acting as catalyst. Together with our school subject leaders they are shaping a move from late-stage intervention to confident, broad curricula from reception up.
