This role is a key part of our central team, and is responsible for delivering high quality recruitment and selection processes and procedures across our 17 schools.  Our primary focus is on ensuring we put the best people in our schools to serve our 14,500 children every day.

Working with our HR Business Partner team you will ensure recruitment and selection, and safer recruitment processes and protocols are in place, and used consistently.

To be successful in this role you will:

  1. Co-ordinate and participate in the recruitment and selection process across the Trust; providing advice to managers on the placement of adverts and recruitment issues generally, and participating in the selection process when required;
  2. Provide recruitment request information to ELT on a fortnightly basis checking job descriptions and pay grades to Trust policy and other similar roles in Trust school.
  3. Develop and maintain a suite of job descriptions and person specifications in conjunction with the HR Business Partners
  4. Participate in delivery of training to colleagues across the Trust on employment and recruitment procedures; including the production, presentation and co-ordination of training materials.
  5. Support some of the Trust schools in placing adverts and providing support with the full recruitment process
  6.  Co-ordinate recruitment fairs/open days as appropriate.
  7. Lead on the management of the vacancy management system for the Trust and ensure all adverts are place in a consistent and timely manner.  Publicise all vacancies and training opportunities to Trust employees on a weekly basis.
  8. Undertake and manage the HR administration of starters and contractual changes, including the preparation of contractual documentation, contract variation letters and payroll documentation. 
  9. Oversee and monitor induction training and for support and teaching staff in line with Trust and Academy procedures.  Oversee the monitoring and completion of support staff probation.
  10. To put systems, documentation and support in place to ensure the highest standards for job design, recruitment and selection are maintained throughout the Trust.
  11. Ensure best value in advertising, recruitment and DBS checking packages.
  12. To undertake HR administration duties as appropriate to the role and devise and maintain storage for information relating to recruitment and selection and policies for the Trust;
  13. Maintain, prepare and present statistical and management information as required on turnover, equal opportunities and best value performance indicators relating to recruitment and retention
  14. Attend and contribute in recruitment related meetings and forums across the Trust and where appropriate take notes at meetings.
