If you’re passionate about connecting communities to their heritage then Royal Museums Greenwich is the place for you. The experience for audiences is being transformed at the National Maritime Museum through the development of the HLF funded Endeavour Galleries project. This ambitious project will see four new permanent galleries open in September 2018 and the project has been a catalyst for change in the way we work with our audiences. We’re looking for an organised and creative individual to co-ordinate the delivery of our opening programme of activities and supporting resources.
You will work collaboratively across teams to ensure that the opening programme will engage target audiences and involve our community collaborators. Your aim will be to continue the programme of audience development and embed sustainable working relationships. In preparation for the galleries opening you will coordinate staff and volunteer training drawing from the experiences of the Endeavour project teams and help shape learning resources for schools and communities.
With experience of working with a range of communities and of working with multiple stakeholders, you should demonstrate strong co-ordination and communication skills. Experience of working in a heritage or museum environment and a proven track record in developing learning resources would be welcomed.
