After some internal promotions, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a MOT Technician to join one of the biggest and most profitable BMW and MINI retailers in the North of England, Lloyd Newcastle. After a record breaking 2022, we are looking for a talented individual to join us and make 2023 our best year yet.

The role

As an MOT technician at Lloyd Newcastle, you will join a team of talented vehicle technicians and be responsible for all MOT testing for our customers. You will also ensure that you deliver an outstanding customer experience. Lloyd Newcastle will invest in your progression for all relevant qualifications within your career journey.

Your profile

You must be a qualified MOT technician who can work within given timescales and carry out MOTs in line with guidelines. You will also be responsible for testing, diagnosing faults, and providing written reports on component defects. We’ll also expect you to be a team player who’s can mentor and work with new colleagues and apprentices A full driving licence is essential.

Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out work to the highest level of quality to minimise rework and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues not listed on the work instructions.
  • Ensuring good standards of housekeeping at all times.
  • Completing any documentation to the standard defined by the company.
  • Assuring adherence to systems and procedures as defined by the Workshop Manager and Company policy and procedures.
  • Responding positively to the requests of the Workshop Manager or Supervisor and working effectively as a member of the aftersales team.
  • Adhering to the relevant Manufacturer / Insurer standards and requirements.
  • Carrying out other duties as required from time to time.
