Six Months fixed-term contract (with possible extension)

37.5 hrs per week

At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

The aim of the “Staging Post” service is to provide short term interim accommodation for single homeless people who are awaiting longer term accommodation options including private rented or supported accommodation. The service aims to ensure that no individual will have to sleep rough in the capital while awaiting accommodation options from their local authority or accommodation in the private rented sector.

As the post holder, you will be based at our staging post service in Hammersmith & Fulham (with some travel to Hackney) and will play a central role in managing and co-ordinating referrals into the staging post from our No Second Night Out hubs as well as directly from outreach teams across London. You will also manage and support a team of staff who work closely with clients and in partnership with local authorities, accommodation services, statutory and voluntary agencies; to ensure that clients move on from the service within the target time scale and into appropriate accommodation.

To be successful you will have experience of coordinating or managing a team in either a Homelessness, supported housing, advice or care environment. You will also have a wide ranging knowledge of housing pathways, hostels, B&B and social housing etc. Overall, we are looking for a dynamic individual who can work in a fast paced environment and is committed to helping vulnerable people make positive changes in their lives.

If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
