Job Title:               Information Services Assistant

Contract:              Full-Time, Permanent

Location:              Cardiff and Vale

Salary:                   £19635 - £21030 per annum

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Information Services Assistant within the Information Services Department at Cardiff and Vale College.

 

Reporting into the Information Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing support for all aspects of the department including the following:

 

  • To perform general office duties, including enrolment of students and general enquiries from staff and students, as and when required in particular during enrolment periods of high workload or staff absence.
  • Assist with face to face enrolment as required throughout the year.
  • Update the central student system to ensure all withdrawn/transferred learners are no longer active on their course, and that completed learners are processed accurately.
  • Amend college timetables and e-registers on the central timetabling system.
  • Ensure that all e-registers are marked in a timely manner and report any unmarked e-registers to a Curriculum Business Manager. Perform spot checks to ensure that the registers match the learners in classes at least once a term.
  • Update e-registers with any cancelled classes, or classes covered by other teaching staff.

 

The successful applicant will have a sound educational background or demonstrable commensurate experience. The ideal applicant must have a successful track record of delivery within the further education sector and have the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of audiences.
