Assessment Worker – Clearing House

Tower Hill

£24,135 - £27,648 per annum

Full-time: 37.5 hours per week

The Clearing House service coordinates the RSI partnership, providing access to supported social housing for clients with a history of rough sleeping. The aim is to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships across the sector, delivering an assessment and allocations service which meets the need of our clients and partners, and thereby offering a valuable accommodation option for those leaving hostels and other homelessness services.

We are looking to recruit an Assessment Worker on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small team responsible for assessing client referrals and sourcing housing for hundreds of former rough sleepers every year. You will play a key role in undertaking “desktop” client assessments, gathering information to understand the needs of our clients and appropriately match those clients to a suitable supported property.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the issues facing single homeless people, and be committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our client group. You will have experience of dealing directly and by telephone with external organisations in the provision of services and experience of undertaking assessments of vulnerable people with varying support needs. You will possess excellent organisational and time-management skills  and be able to manage a busy workload with multiple priorities. This would be an ideal opportunity for somebody with client support or assessment experience looking to use their skills as part of an office based team.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
