HR Administrator

Job Title: HR Administrator (Fixed Term Contract) Salary: £25,000 Responsible to: HR Business Partner This is a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the busy HR Department at Cartrefi Cymru Cooperative. The role will be varied covering all aspect of HR Administration with an initial responsibility for establishing and maintaining key HR Administration processes which support the People team, our colleagues and ultimately the people Cartrefi supports. This fixed term contract provides an opportunity to play a key role in actively implementing new and enhancing existing HR processes and providing HR support to our colleagues and HR team. The administrator must be able to provide strong administrative support to enhance our colleagues experience and help the People Team during a period of change as Cartrefi launches a new people strategy that will support the growth and performance of the organisation. Key Responsibilities : HR Administrative Support Provide a high quality HR Administrative support across the full range of administration duties that occur throughout the colleague employment lifecycle including but not limited to the new starter process, leaver process, contractual changes, parental leave, absence management. Ensure changes which impact colleagues’ salary and monthly payroll are actioned in a timely and accurate manner, in collaboration with the HR Advisors, Business Partners and Payroll. Apply a good working knowledge of HR policies, procedures and administrative systems to respond to enquiries from colleagues, managers and external customers Actively support and have involvement in HR Projects as required. HR Compliance Establish and maintain detailed records and reporting on mandatory processes to ensure compliance with legislation including, right to work checks and renewals, DBS checks and renewals Produce offer letters and employment contracts for new starters in compliance with required timescales Manage contract changes and the issuing of variations to contract and associated documentation and ensure correct action is taken in respect of colleague changes Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality. Ensure HR administration processes comply with employment legislation and regulatory requirements HR Systems and Data Ensure colleague data is accurately maintained on our HR Systems Use the HR Systems for producing ad hoc reporting on HR Data Actively use the HR Systems for reporting and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual MI on key HR Metrics Maintain electronic personnel folders ensuring compliance with weeding and retention schedules and data protection The ideal candidate will have Proven experience in a HR administrator role, ideally in a complex, fast paced organisation Knowledge of working with HR policies and procedures Up to date knowledge of employment legislation MS Office experience Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy Proficient in managing and maintaining HR systems and electronic filing systems Experience of managing high volume of work, prioritising and handling multiple tasks simultaneously Proactive, highly motivated individual Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills Team player who collaborates well with immediate and wider team Ability to communicate via the appropriate method with team and stakeholders HR related qualification / CIPD qualification* Full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle Willingness to travel to our sites across Wales Our Mission To build a better future by focussing on people with learning disabilities and their families in Wales.
