Salary: £25,484 pa + bonus Weekly Hours : 42.5 hours / week

Life as a Driver/Valeter with Northgate Vehicle Hire A day in the life of a Driver is fast-paced and physical – most of your day you’re behind the wheel, delivering and collecting vehicles for your customers, as well as valeting the vehicle you’re delivering to ensure it meets our exacting standards. As a Driver , you play an integral role in enabling us to consistently provide the first-class experience customers’ demand, and, when you need support, there’s a great team back at branch ready to help.
In the job of a Valeter you will be responsible for cleaning vehicles to a high standard whilst adhering to health & safety policies, you will also be driving many of our vehicles, which means you need to be up to date with new technology and be able to drive to an extremely high standard.
As a Valeter we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do and experience in a valeting/detailing role. You must have a high level of attention to detail and be highly motivated. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence. We will help and support you with the rest.

Your role, as Workshop Manager, is about supporting our customers to deliver on their business promises. Your aim; ensuring we get their vehicle back on the road safely and in quick time.
Accountable for day-to-day performance across all aspects of the workshop, we are looking to you to develop a results-focused MVT and workshop team that complies with the highest technical and quality standards, drive innovation and improvement to minimise vehicle downtime and, above all, deliver on our service commitment to customers.

This is a great opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialists as a Customer Service Representative in our contact centre in Darlington. Working in our dedicated Customer Support Centre, the key purpose of this role is to act as a liaison between Northgate and its diverse Customer base. Maintenance Controller
£25K- £30K depending on skills and experience with company benefits
Hours: 37.5 hrs Opening Hours: Monday to Friday between 7.30am-6.00pm and Saturday 8.00am-12.00pm Shift Patterns: Early and Late shifts on rotation

Our Maintenance team understand the importance of reducing repair costs and downtime to ensure drivers are back on the road as soon as possible whilst ensuring legal and policy compliance for all fleets.
With an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Mechanics and a good understanding of the motor trade, your expertise will allow us to ensure the integrity of repairs, reduce vehicle downtime by timely completion and control costs.
This role requires a strong technical knowledge as will involve interaction with drivers, technicians, suppliers, and customers. This is a role for someone who wishes to utilise their mechanical & motor trade background experience in a fleet control environment, so could suit a fully qualified Technician who is looking to move off the tools into an office-based role.
The Maintenance Controllers Part to Play
Ensuring proactive management of all service maintenance and repair events.
Handling contacts from customers and suppliers for updates, defects, and authorisations.
Manage costs associated to Service, Maintenance & Repairs through obtaining updates, escalating issues, challenging costs, and potential delays.
Monitor systems & verifying documentation to ensure any unplanned SMR events are captured and manage through to conclusion
Identify issues and potential delays in a timely fashion and escalate them directly to the manufacturers, suppliers or management for support and advise
Constant chasing up of vehicles, authorising work with set SLA’s
Ensuring all associated administration is completed to a very high standard, raising invoices and order numbers
Liaising with clients, manufacturers, dealers, internal workshops, and suppliers to ensure repairs are carried out in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Criteria for the role of Maintenance Controller
Computer literate and able to communicate effectively between team members, customers, and suppliers.
Technical Knowledge – Up to level 2 NVQ/City & Guild Equivalent in Motor Vehicle Mechanics with Workshop Experience
Ability to understand technical work required/time frame needed to complete
Very good technical knowledge gained in a Workshop environment and someone who can interact at all levels.
Experience and knowledge of Fleet Compliance would also be useful.
Excellent and effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Must be proactive and be able to pay keen attention to the smallest of details
Ability to work as part of a team and equally un-supervised

Accountable for day-to-day performance across all aspects of the workshop, we are looking to you to develop a results-focused MVT and workshop team that complies with the highest technical and quality standards, drive innovation and improvement to minimise vehicle downtime and, above all, deliver on our service commitment to customers.
About you
At heart, you are a qualified technical expert (level 3 NVQ or City and Guilds in Light Maintenance) with a solid workshop management background - your team value your expert technical knowledge, input and guidance.
You have a common-sense business approach - you know what makes a great workshop and how to maximise efficiencies and opportunities to produce outstanding results.
Above all, you are a people person - you care about your team and understand that a one-size-fits-all approach is not always the best way to create a high-performing workshop team.

This is a great opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialists as a Parts Controller in our busy site in Glasgow.
Our Glasgow branch is a large, high-profile site which delivers maintenance, servicing and warranty work for a fleet of c2500 vehicles in fleet, and one of the busiest workshops in the country. As the lead branch in Scotland, it also provides valuable support to a further c.2000 vehicles from our Broxburn, Stirling and Aberdeen branches in the surrounding network.
In this role you will be supporting the Workshop Manager in the running of the internal parts department, based within the workshop. This includes effectively maintaining accurate parts stock levels which allows our technicians to be productive and efficient. You will be liaising with external suppliers and managing those relationships moving forward.
About you
You come from a fast-paced, customer-focused background – preferably from a parts environment within the automotive industry, whether that be dealership, accident repair or workshop.
You have experience with budgeting and cost control, as you will be solely responsible for the workshop budget.
You are a competent administrator, who can demonstrate excellent organisational skills, accurate data input and IT literacy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced & qualified Workshop Controller to join one of the UK’s leading vehicle rental specialists in our largest site in Leeds .
Your role, as Workshop Controller, is about supporting our customers to deliver on their business promises. Your aim; ensuring we get their vehicle back on the road safely and in quick time.
With an ever-changing workload, our modern workshop is equipped with the latest technology and manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools - it is a bustling, exciting place to be. You have a central role to play in the smooth running of the workshop by maximising the profitability, productivity and efficiency of the workshop team. You are also the decision-maker for the technicians on recharge and warranty opportunities too.
Key to your success is your ability to ensure the workshop produces work that complies with the highest technical and quality standards and, above all, helps us deliver on our service commitment to customers.
About you
You are a qualified technician with a solid workshop background - your colleagues value your technical knowledge and understanding of jobs from routine servicing and maintenance to more complex diagnostics
You have a common-sense business approach - you know what makes a great workshop and how to maximise efficiencies and opportunities to produce outstanding results.
Above all, you are a people person - you care about those around you and understand that a one-size-fits-all approach is not always the best way to create a high-performing workshop team.
