Maths Course Leader (Tutor) - maternity cover

Maths Course Leader (Tutor) Maternity cover (1st August 2024 - 15th June 2025) Full time, 37 hours per week £27,304 - £30,743 per annum Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus Who are we looking for? Computing Course Leader (Tutor) - Full Time

Computing Course Leader – Full Time 37 hours per week (FTE 1.0) Salary £26,642 - £33,766 pro rata Who are we looking for? Burton and South Derbyshire College are looking for a course leader to join their Computing and Emerging Technologies curriculum department to deliver a range of units across Computing, Programming & Cyber Security pathways from Levels 1 to 5. A degree or equivalent is highly desirable for this role, along with a certificate in education or a willingness to work to achieve this. Also desirable is knowledge of website development, software development, encompassing SDLC and languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, C++, C#, Java, PHP, SQL. Also experience working with appropriate IDEs like Visual Studio or familiarity with webserver stacks eg XAMPP and AI emerging practices is advantageous. The role of Course Leader will allow the successful candidate to develop innovative resources that stretch and challenge learners, work in partnership with learner progress coaches to monitor and improve attendance and in turn improve learners’ qualification and employment outcomes. Health and Social Care Skills Technician - 18.5hrs a week

Health and Social Care Skills Technician Part Time, 18.5 hours per week £11,851 per annum (£23,702 pro rata) Post to commence 1st August 2024 Who are we looking for? We have an exciting and unique opportunity to recruit a Health and Social Care Skills Technician to join the recently expanded curriculum facilities. In this role, you will support and set up the daily technical elements of all courses using a range of equipment and supplies for clinical skills and simulation teaching. The equipment range will include human patient simulators, computer-based simulators, and appropriate medical and surgical equipment. You will be required to provide high-level support and demonstrations to the curriculum teaching team and learners and have technical knowledge of equipment used in a healthcare and simulation-based education. The role will include ordering of consumables, maintenance and monitoring of equipment, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and COSHH. Ideally you will have experience of working within a clinical setting, and have experience or a qualification relevant to the role at Level 3 or above. You will have excellent time management and organisation skills and be able to communicate effectively across a range of staff and stakeholders.
