Minibus Driver (Senior and Preparatory)

Starting Salary £12,780.50 per annum Permanent | 24.75 hours per week | Term-time contract (34 weeks per year) We are looking for Minibus Drivers to join our School’s Transport team at this ‘Excellent in every aspect’ rated day and boarding School in North Essex. The role will transport pupils to and from the school at the beginning and end of the school day plus carry out regular maintenance checks on your assigned minibus. Due to the size and weight of the Schools’ minibus fleet, drivers must hold a full UK Driving Licence with the D1 entitlement, which will need to be evidenced as part of the recruitment checks. The successful applicants will have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude towards work together with the ability to deliver excellent service to our students, parents and visitors. It is essential applicants demonstrate good interpersonal skills and are able to work well both independently and within a team. These are permanent roles working term-time only (34 weeks per year). The role is transporting pupils to and from the school at the beginning and end of the school day, liaising with parents, and carrying out regular maintenance checks on your assigned minibus.  Due to the size and weight of the Schools’ minibus fleet, it is preferred that drivers hold a full UK Driving Licence with the D1 entitlement, which will need to be evidenced as part of the recruitment checks. If an applicant can demonstrate suitable driving experience but does not hold D1 entitlement on their licence, the school would consider sponsoring their D1 training, subject to contractual terms and conditions.
