Duty Worker - Haringey Mental Health West

£19,012.50 - £19,270 per annum

37.5 hours per week

Haringey West Mental Health team provides an accommodation based support service to clients with mental health support needs. We provide housing and support for our clients who have a combination of mental health needs and other support needs. We provide therapeutic environments that considers the client's needs beyond medication and housing. In line with St Mungo’s recovery approach, the Service places the client’s aspirations at the heart of its work. The support service has a combination of 24/7 accommodation projects, projects with offices staffed from 9 – 5 on weekdays, and other step down accommodation without offices on site.

In this role you’ll work as part of team to manage the safe day to day running of the project and provide basic support and advice to clients. You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and visitors and will be responsible for coordinating the daily Health and Safety, office administration and housekeeping tasks. We require someone who has good communication skills and an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients.

You should have a basic level of numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your initiative to deal with difficult situations. You’ll also be expected to be punctual and act with integrity, within our policies and procedures.

Flexibility is required, as you will be working a mixture of early and late shifts over a number of different sites. You will also be expected to attend supervision, training and some meetings outside of your shifts hours, although we aim to keep this to a minimum.
