We are looking for an enthusiastic Deputy Head Registrar to join the Loans Section at the V&A.

This is a varied role where you will be leading a team of Assistant Registrars and have overall operational responsibility for the V&A’s programme of loans of museum objects to external exhibitions. You will also support the Head Registrar in relevant museum and collection management activities.

You will have proven experience of registrarial or collection management work with a museum collection, including experience coordinating outgoing or incoming loans. Knowledge of the UK Government Indemnity Scheme, fine art insurance and museum object transport adhering to national and international museum standards is key for this role. You will demonstrate project management skills, ability to prioritise a high workload and successful delivery to tight deadlines. A confident, articulate and persuasive communicator, with the ability to negotiate and navigate complex situations, you will be a strong problem solver.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the V&A's dynamic Loans team and significantly contribute to the promotion of excellent standards of Collections Management practice within the Museum.

This is a full time role, 36 hours per week.
