Student Experience Officer (Student Engagement)

Hours: 37 per week during college term time
Salary: £20,664 pro rata per annum (pay award pending).

About the role We are looking for an outgoing and passionate individual to join our Student Engagement Team.
The role is key to the student experience at York College. You will greet students as they arrive for their studies, promote and encourage positive behaviours around the campus, promote student enrichment opportunities and support students to meet college expectations in terms of attendance.
The Student Engagement Team are highly visible and available around the College building. You will be implementing the visible ID policy and providing Mental Health First Aid.
The role is term time only, 38 weeks per year and follows the student timetable here at York College.
About the Person You will need to be confident, approachable and student focused. You should ideally have experience of customer service and a commitment to supporting students. You will be both flexible and adaptable with strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a busy team.

1. The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act The College is exempt from the provisions of the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974, by virtue of the fact that postholders have access to children and young people, and to vulnerable adults.
