Financial Controller
Full time, 37 hours per week

Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College are looking for a Financial Controller to lead and manage the College Finance team.  You will be responsible for the operational financial management of the College, ensuring the effective and efficient use of College resources by maintaining and developing financial controls, financial reporting and budget management.

The successful candidate will understand the further education sector and its main funding streams and funding rules while having experience leading budget and costing preparation processes.  You will be experienced in the production, statutory accounts to international accounting standards and have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key issues while working under pressure to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will be required to hold a formal CCAB qualification or be a finalist working towards one.

Applicants should be qualified, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
