Project Worker – Female*

£24,135 – £27,648pa

Kensington and Chelsea, London

37.5hrs per week

We are seeking a Project worker to work across two of our Projects based in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

The two projects aim to provide move on accommodation for clients who are currently homeless. All of the service users will have been referred from Kensington and Chelsea Housing Needs Team and their length of stay at the project, will depend upon the resettlement options available to them. During their stay clients will receive intensive support around life skills, tenancy maintenance and the building up of community links; which will equip them to succeed in their own tenancies.

As a Project Worker, your role will involve undertaking key working activities such as referrals/interviews/booking in clients and housing management activities such as finances, resettlement, health and wellbeing. You will also assist our clients to develop and care for themselves by providing advice and guidance on personal development and relevant life skills. You will be working in partnership with a multidisciplinary team of support staff, specialist staff and external partners.

To succeed, you will either have personal experience of homelessness or a sound understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people. You should also possess good interpersonal and listening skills; in order to be able to establish an effective working relationship with clients and an eagerness to learn and work with clients in a holistic and client-centred approach. Good numeracy, IT and written communication skills are also required.

Flexibility is required, as you will be working a shift rota.
