THE ROLE

This role forms part of our Digital Enablement Development Team, providing an exciting opportunity to be part of our Digital Transformation Programme, utilising the latest technologies to support organisational growth. 

The Software Developer will play an integral role in building and implementing a new Business Management System using Microsoft Dynamics as well as developing and maintaining our existing systems.

 

THE CANDIDATE

You will be familiar with Microsoft Dynamics. Certification in Microsoft Dynamics administration/development would be beneficial but not essential. Knowledge of the Power Platform  Certification in Microsoft Power Platform administration/development would be advantageous. As would implementation experience of Dynamics/Power Platform, creating customised elements. You will need to have experience of full stack development using .NET, C# and Azure (including web or application) and have worked in an Agile development team (ideally SCRUM/KANBAN) working with user stories, acceptance criteria and participating in associated activities.

You will be comfortable with integration with 3rd party applications/services e.g. payment gateways and use of JSON/XML data formats and have a knowledge of SASS, frameworks/libraries such as Angular, React.js and build/deployment services, preferably DevOps.

In addition, experience of the following is required…  E-Commerce development, preferably NOP Commerce, Umbraco CMS development, SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g. CosmosDB), Working to secure coding practices, Developing for user experience (UI/UX) and Accessibility (WCAG).

You will have a passion for technology and innovation with the ability to focus on the detail and be comfortable taking ownership of, and being accountable for, complex deliverables. With sound organisational and planning skills, you will work well within a team but also able to work independently with initiative.

The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders is essential.

This is a hybrid working role, where you’ll work some of your time from home and some of your time from the Grantham Office. Time in the office will vary but is expected to be around twice a month.
