Hollybank Trust, founded in 1954 has achieved a reputation of attaining very high care standards, working with children, young people and adults who have profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking, and progressive organisation with a person-centred approach encompassing everything we do. We operate from four sites including Holmfirth, South Kirkby, Barnsley, and Mirfield.

We are now looking for an experienced and proactive Director of Operations to join us on an interim, full-time basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading operational delivery of Adult Residential Services within the Trust.

The key aim for this role is the delivery of greater integration and high quality, personalised services for the people we support, and to further enhance this via effective electronic rotas and workforce planning, along with the introduction of a digital care planning system.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Manage the quality, compliance, financial performance and development of the adult services, operating at all times in line with our values.
  • Deliver high quality, cost effective and holistic service provision, ensuring KPIs are monitored and achieved.
  • Design and deliver outcome-focussed ways of working with the operational management teams to ensure the highest quality standards are attained by each service through an integrated and collaborative approach.
  • Plan, manage and implement digital care planning in adult services and co-ordinate with children’s service for a seamless approach across the Trust.
  • Improve electronic rota planning to maximise the available workforce in a cost effective way, and that is centrally visible for other teams who support the service.

What do you need?

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care/educated to degree level (or equivalent experience).
  • A thorough understanding of the requirements of CQC registration and compliance with CQC and other appropriate regulations, legislation, and guidance.
  • Substantial experience of successfully managing and motivating multi-site staff teams; establishing and effectively monitoring performance to meet targets and KPI’s.
  • Excellent digital skills and confidence to support others to embrace digital tools.
