Milton Keynes College have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Education Manager to join our Prison Education team at HMP Woodhill.

As a successful Deputy Education Manager, will work closely with the Education Manager to effectively and efficiently manage all aspects of the department, ensure the day-to-day-smooth running of the department and its staff and support   the achievement of outstanding learning, teaching and success. You will support the Education Manager to plan and manage the deployment of staff and resources by supporting the department to deliver high quality courses that meets the needs of the learners, prison and Milton Keynes College.

ABOUT HMP WOODHILL

HMP Woodhill is a core local prison currently housing both remand and sentenced prisoners of all categories. The Education department works closely with prison colleagues to ensure the courses delivered are relevant to the prisoners’ complex needs, rehabilitation and resettlement. 

Courses include: English and Maths Functional Skills (Entry 1 – Level 2), ICT, Art, Music Technology, Food Safety, Health and Safety and a wide range of personal and social development courses. Vocational courses consist of Catering and Hospitality, Painting and Decorating and Kitchen Fitting and Tiling.

Our department believes the opportunities provided for our learners will help to address their offending behaviour and give them the skills to enhance their lives and gain employment on release. We encourage our learners to unlock and reach their potential.
