We are currently recruiting for a Face-to-Face Membership Area Manager (F2FAM) to cover Northern Ireland, who will be an integral part of the RSPB's mission to save nature, during a time when the natural environment is facing numerous and increasing challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of RSPB’s membership recruitment team whilst working closely with NI’s conservation and leadership teams. The successful applicant will play a key role in sharing with the NI community, RSPB successes and campaigns. We can show how NI is able to play an important part in offsetting global climate change and our work will help to protect NI threatened species whilst ensuring future generations enjoy our world. 
About the role:

As the F2FAM for NI you will be responsible for recruiting, building, and developing a team of fundraisers capable of inspiring the support we need. You will represent the F2F team in NI and work alongside campaigns and initiatives. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the NI F2F team and influence where we go, who we talk to and how we inspire support. We regularly operate at a range of reserves, venues and events and your time will be split between working in the field alongside fundraisers as well as supporting the NI operation from a home base. You will have a key role in setting direction, energy and capability within a supportive culture.

As a public champion for nature, you and your team will benefit from experience on  conservation projects, you will be supported with internal personal and managerial development, and you will be fully immersed into the NI nature solution.

You will have an influential role over your team, and this will revolve around your regular field visits. During visits, you will ensure fundraisers are upholding the RSPB core values and standards through their effective storytelling and nature displays. You will act as a mentor to your team and be comfortable sharing fundraising skills through engagement with the public.

It will be your responsibility to maintain a culture of high quality F2F standards whilst achieving stretching KPIs and income targets. You will be expected to work closely with your UK line manager and there will be regular travel to England. This is a role where you need to be able to lead from the front by demonstrating your own talent for inspiration however also where you can develop your leadership skills and work closely with senior managers to director level.

F2FAMs are expected to build strong, collaborative, working relationships with many key parties including; peers, HR, venues, recruitment and conservation teams, therefore effective communication and presentation skills are a must. The role is split between a home base and field on an approximate 40/60 basis. The role by its nature involves some flexibility around working patterns however does involve weekend work.

•    Leading and motivating teams to achieve stretching targets
•    Comfortable recruiting, training, and developing new team members
•    Leading from the front to inspire new members to join the RSPB
•    Strong understanding of the talent required to be a successful F2F fundraiser
•    Comfortable seeking ongoing support from the UK based Operation Manager
•    Full driving licence, valid for use in the UK.

This is a Permanent, full-time role. Ideally, you will be located within 25 miles of Belfast.
