As UX Design Lead, you will have a passion for gaining a deep and complete understanding of end-users, their motives and the value they get from our products. You will use personas and real-life data to design services that are usable, accessible and intuitive enough that users succeed first time across our digital platforms. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our users’ needs and help us grow our user base.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the overall look and feel of our digital products.
- Develop and maintain user interface standards and create an inclusive and coherent user experience for our digital products, using UX best practices and maintaining digital brand and style guidelines.
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
- Able to demonstrate a portfolio of design projects that includes web/mobile projects
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS3
- Familiar with design and UI tools such as Sketch, Storybook or Photoshop
- Experience of creating design standards and guidelines
- Proficiency in designing wireframes, interfaces and building clickable prototypes
- Experience of deconstructing user behaviour to create an improved experience for users
- Understanding of how to build and optimise for SEO
- Demonstrate understanding of accessibility principles and implementation such as W3C compliance and WCAG conformance
- An understanding of the causes of digital exclusion and how to build inclusivity into our digital products and solutions
- A passion for design and usability and how to create frictionless user journeys
