Guest Liaison Worker – The Lodge at St. Ursula’s
London, near Chancery Lane
£24,135 - £27,648 per annum
37.5 hours pw
The Lodge is a home and a community with an exceptional track record in accommodating older rough sleepers who choose not to access supported hostels. The hotel style accommodation and friendly atmosphere gives guests the security, dignity and space to decide their next steps without being part of a structured support programme.
The service is recruiting a Guest Liaison Worker to join the team on a permanent basis. We’re looking for someone with a track record of providing highest levels of client support, the ability to communicate and engage sensitively and creatively with people who reject a formal support service but who may have evident support needs. Flexibility and an understanding of the needs of people who have been socially excluded are essential. You should be a strong team-player who can build effective working relationships with guests in order to assess their strengths and needs and to respond appropriately when faced with challenging behaviour. You will also be confident in your ability to make effective decisions, as this is predominately a lone-working position.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and flexible working to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.
If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we would love to hear from you.
