As Payroll Officer, you will be an integral and core team member and work proactively to support the Finance and HR Team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of the monthly payroll to ensure that all salaried staff receive their remuneration in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure that all correspondence with HMRC is dealt with correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all RTI payroll submissions for tax, national insurance and statutory payments are made within the reporting timelines.
- Ensure that all Tax and National insurance payments are made within reporting time lines.
- Assist with the administration of the company pension scheme.
- Assist with processing the general ledger and purchase ledger transactions in support of the work that the finance team provides for the whole organisation.
- Any ad hoc duties as specified and delegated by the finance manager.
You will have a strong finance aptitude and possess the skills to support the provision of timely financial information. You will be able to work flexibly delivering an accurate, responsive and efficient work.
You should have previous experience of payroll 1-2 years minimum, and a good working knowledge of Excel and Word. Previous experience of Midland Payroll and IRIS Exchequer systems is desirable but not essential.
